In the first YPSOS SAFETY blog post we are going to explain the reason for its origin, its meaning, its purpose, and some small details that will help you understand the new brand that manufactures safety devices and systems for work at height.
ORIGIN AND PURPOSE
We begin with its origin and meaning. YPSOS comes from the Greek “hypsos,” a neuter noun belonging to a rich and well-structured family of terms. These terms are linked to the adverb hypsi, “on high.” In general it designates height conceived as a spatial dimension, opposed to width and length, which in turn takes on the sense of the highest point, a summit or peak.
From this definition it is clear that we are entering the world of height, but not in a general sense; at YPSOS we are more specific. When you are “on high” you are at risk of falling if you do not work safely, and that is where our purpose comes in.
The aim, goal, or purpose of YPSOS lies in eliminating that fall risk, which is why we are manufacturers of safety devices and systems for work at height.
Our goal is to design safety devices that are aesthetic and visually distinctive, which is why we use the highest-quality materials, paying attention to even the smallest detail so we can make what we ourselves would want to use in our daily working lives. We want devices and systems that make your work easier so that you only have to worry about doing your job correctly.
SUB-BRANDS
YPSOS does not come alone; it will be accompanied by four sub-brands, each with its own function, all of them safety devices and systems that will make the risk of falling from height zero and therefore allow you to do your work at height with confidence. These sub-brands will refer to safety nets, guardrails, ladders, and lifelines, but we will welcome them later on.
None of this would be possible without the team of expert professionals with decades of experience in the work-at-height safety sector who stand behind every project, from specialized engineers to operators, office staff, marketing, and more.
From here on, in the coming posts, we will go into more depth about YPSOS in general and its sub-brands in particular. We will talk about regulations, different products with their advantages and disadvantages, inspections, maintenance, and certifications of safety devices, as well as giving examples of the different sectors, situations, and work-at-height jobs where fall arrest safety systems are required.
