Ypsos Safety’s First Year

As you know, this has been the first year of life of Ypsos Safety and we want to review everything we have done. Let’s begin by explaining who we are, what we do, and what we offer.

YPSOS SAFETY

Ypsos Safety was born out of the need to put an end to, or try to eradicate, workplace accidents caused by falls from height, by manufacturing safety systems and devices for work more than two meters above the ground.

Ypsos’s goal and reason for being is to enable workers to do their job with peace of mind, knowing for certain that they are working safely.

That is why we make products with emphasis on the smallest detail, to make the user’s job easier. We design systems that we ourselves would want to use in our own daily work.

But what are the parts that make up Ypsos Safety?

Ypsos Safety is made up of four sub-brands that make possible what we have just described.

PIGNUS

This is the name of the sub-brand that refers to our safety nets. We have talked about it in several posts: its features, installation, and the fall protection solution it provides.

Depending on the type of skylight, we have four different solutions:

  • PIGNUS PANEL, installed on sandwich panel roofs.
  • PIGNUS PLATE, available for trapezoidal or flat metal sheet.
  • PIGNUS SKYLIGHT FLEX, for deck-type roofs.
  • PIGNUS SKYLIGHT FIX, intended for the protection of roof domes.

All the types of nets we offer have been tested in certified laboratories to guarantee maximum safety.

ANANKE

This sub-brand covers our safety guardrails standardized in accordance with UNE EN 14122-3. Their main function, as collective protection, is to protect people on a surface more than two meters above the ground from a possible fall.

Depending on the surface, one type of guardrail or another must be installed:

  • Counterweighted guardrails, which can be used on any type of roof.
  • Guardrails fixed with floor anchors on surfaces such as concrete or deck roofs
  • Guardrails fixed with sheet anchors, such as trapezoidal or flat metal sheet.
  • Wall-mounted guardrails, on a parapet.
  • Guardrails with a special anchor for roofs such as Kal-Zip.

ANANKE is designed to provide a solution for any type of surface.

In addition to safety nets and guardrails, we are in the process of designing and bringing to life lifelines and fixed vertical ladders, which will see the light of day over the coming year.

But this is only one part of YPSOS SAFETY. In addition to manufacturing these products, we put great emphasis on promoting fall protection.

YPSOS SAFETY SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

At Ypsos Safety we are aware that eradicating workplace accidents caused by falls from height takes a great deal of work, dedication, and time.

That is why we use our social media to promote our safety products and also share news about these types of accidents to raise awareness of the big problem that exists.

You can find us on:

Through them we do our bit to spread prevention, safety, and good practices. We have a long road ahead, but this is only the beginning, and we are starting 2023 with all the enthusiasm in the world.
