From the manufacturer&#8217;s point of view, these decisions are important, since they determine both the end user&#8217;s safety and the system&#8217;s legal compliance.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ypsos&#8217;s Five Most-Read Articles This Year<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 5 most-read articles, in this order, are as follows:<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guardrail Requirements According to the CTE and the UNE Standard<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article we talk about guardrails, a safety element well known both to people who work in work-at-height safety and to those completely outside the world of prevention. Guardrails are collective protection measures, among the most widely used because of their convenience, effectiveness and low cost, among other reasons.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article summarizes the current regulations that set the requirements for protective guardrails, since depending on the use, one standard or another will apply:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For access to machinery or parts of buildings where maintenance is to be carried out, UNE 14122 will be used, whereas if the aim is to protect people from falls from height in buildings, we will focus on the Technical Building Code (CTE).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can keep reading in &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/requisitos-de-barandillas-segun-el-cte-y-la-norma-une\/\">Guardrail Requirements According to the CTE and the UNE Standard<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UNE EN 795 Standard. Anchor Devices<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article we explain that safety in work at height depends largely on the anchor points that workers connect to. A correctly designed and strong anchor is key to ensuring safety in the event of a fall.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we have said, anchor devices are very important, since a life can depend on them, so it is necessary for manufacturers, safety technicians and anyone working at height to know their standards and requirements well.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The standard that applies is EN 795:2012, a &#8220;European standard&#8221; that sets the requirements and test methods for anchor devices used in fall protection systems.
